“Stayed for a week and not once did I miss home. Hospitality and friendliness – best of both worlds. Tidiness and comfort. No TV making you conscious (Unembeza) of the nature and animals around you. Open kitchen making you feel at home. Most amazing night’s rest ever. For wine lovers, this is the place to be. Everyone can feel like VIP and comfortable. Thank you Unembeza for making my stay unforgettable and making me conscious about nature again. Also for the friendliness and hospitality. Best stay I have ever had and would recommend everyone to have the same amazing and wonderful experience. See you soon.”

“This is truly a hidden gem in Hoedspruit. Chanced upon this lodge on Tripadvisor. It is located within a wildlife estate so has its own resident animals including zebras, warthogs, nyala, mongooses, hornbills etc. You can even hear hyenas at night near the fireplace. The place is beautiful & new & is supported by the most amazing staff who make you feel at home. Special thanks to lodge manager Tanya Peters for arranging everything down to the smallest detail. We had a wonderful time at Unembeza fiile,d with unforgettable memories & amazing new friends.”

“Nice location in a closed area. We lived with some wild animals like zebras, giraffes, impalas, waterbuck, birds – a very friendly host Martin, a talented cook and the (Dutch) owner who made us feel extremely welcome and did everything to give us a good time. The lodge is just renovated; everything is looking great. Modern with an African twist. We used the new mountain bikes from the lodge to explore the area, free of charge! Breakfast is superb with many options. We had dinner one night at the lodge and they offered a wine selection per meal for a good price! Great night! The other night we had a lovely dinner at Hat & Creek, also highly recommended! There are private game reserves in the area next to the lodge. ”
